Shake well before each use.

Test a small area at the base of the neck 1 hour before full body application to check for sensitivity. This is a smart step when introducing any new product. Pets, like people, can have sensitivities to plant-powered ingredients too.

Rub your pet’s coat in the opposite direction of growth, spray, and rub in. Spray body, belly, legs, and tail. Do not soak your pet or oversaturate. A light but thorough misting ensures best results.

Spray into your hands and rub onto your pet's ears and face. Avoid spraying in mouth, nose, and eyes.

For continuous protection, reapply daily, every 24 hours. Apply before going to an area not protected by Wondercide such as a dog park or on a hike.

Add to your regular cleaning schedule to freshen the home and treat areas frequented by pets. Test specialty fabrics like silks and suedes before full use. This is a water-based product with oil.

Flea & Tick Yard + Garden Instructions

Peppermint oil has been shown in some studies to reduce natural milk production. If you or your pet are pregnant or nursing choose one of our scented Flea & Tick sprays in Cedarwood, Rosemary, or Lemongrass.

Lemongrass has a natural yellow tint and may temporarily discolor light fur or fabrics. Consider another scent if you have light pets or surfaces.

What is the difference between Flea & Tick Pets + Home and Flea & Tick Yard + Garden? Can they be used interchangeably?

Wondercide outdoor sprays were not formulated or tested for use inside the home or on pets or people, so you shouldn't use them in this way. It is specifically designed for outdoor use (lawn, patio, deck, siding, ornamental gardens, etc).

Flea & Tick Pets + Home was created specifically for use throughout your home and is pH-balanced for use on and around pets and around people. It comes in four fresh scents, so you can add spraying to your regular cleaning routine to keep your home protected from pests.

Does it leave a stain? What about an oily residue?

No, Wondercide Flea & Tick Pets + Home should not leave an oily residue or stain pets or household surfaces. While Wondercide sprays contain essential oils, they are water-soluble. They will dry rather quickly, leaving pets, furniture, bedding, and flooring stain-free. For specialty surfaces, such as fabrics like satin, leather, and suede, we recommend testing a discrete area prior to a full application.

The lemongrass scent can occasionally cause mild discoloration of light-colored fur after extended use. Not to worry, the discoloration is not permanent and will naturally fade once discontinued. Lemongrass essential oil naturally has a slight yellow tint which can cause the darkening of fur. The other three scents (cedarwood, rosemary, and peppermint) are completely clear.

How long does a bottle of Flea & Tick Pets + Home last?

FOR TOPICAL USE:
Results vary based on the number of pets being treated, the size of your pets, and frequency of use. The 16 oz. bottle of Flea & Tick Pets + Home typically lasts 1-3 months, depending on your specific needs.

FOR HOME USE:
The 32 oz. bottle treats up to 400 square feet, and the gallon treats up to 1,500 square feet.

Which scent works best?

All scents are lab-tested and proven equally effective against pests, so make your selection based on personal preference. Each scent contains the same active ingredients with the exception of the essential oils, which vary slightly depending on scent. Not sure which you’ll like? What time of day is best to apply Flea & Tick Yard + Garden?

Wondercide outdoor sprays are designed to be sprayed on your grass when temperatures are under 90 degrees whenever possible. If you spray in direct sunlight or when temperatures are higher, the application may cause a phytotoxic burn or browning of leaves or plants.

To avoid burning and, if possible, apply in the early morning or in the evening when plants and your lawn won't be in direct sunlight for extended periods.

Is the yard spray safe for beneficial insects like bees and butterflies?

Wondercide is powered by cedarwood oil, which affects octopamine. Octopamine is essential to life for pheromone-driven pests like fleas and ticks. Unlike those pests, beneficial insects like bees and butterflies don’t rely on octopamine for their vital systems and are not affected by our sprays in the same way.
